Standard Lamp Shades How Do I Fix A Lamp Switch?

How do I fix a lamp switch? - standard lamp shades

I have a gooseneck lamp with on / off behind the lamp shade. The metal is pretty standard switch 1 / 2 inches long and round. The switch does not rotate. It is blocked. Is there a way to solve this problem? Is it safe to use WD-40?

It's probably broken, if not lit. It can be a part of the lamp holders. You've probably replace it completely.

Unplug the lamp
Remove the lamp
Remove switch by unscrewing the switch.
Feed the wire on the swan neck until she leaves the Assembly
Remove the cable
Assembly to buy a DIY store and an equally
Install in reverse order

Good luck

A simple way is to take it, the socket lite lock, take Lowes, buy a similar item, return to take notes and mark the cables so he who goes to where. Take some time to understand it. I do it regularly, and I am a card with Clutz.

I have one too. I fixed. The fire was made in China! The nipple has a threaded socket of the lamp shade was made of plastic. The ego is being replaced by the metal, like all the lights before made in America.

I bought a T-square adjustment, because the new mine is rusty. After a few applications, I noticed that he could not make the decision to block. It seems that the blockade was made of plastic! I corrected by the lock METAL "Made in America" square. So, now I have a Chinese-American T-square!

I do not know the rest of you out there, but I know that the products that are lower in China than in America. That is why we Americans can be proud of!
